Health care: Children are treated accordingly whenever such cases – ailments – occur. Most of our children have Health Insurance except the new comers.
Cleanliness: It is always made sure that cleanliness is observed. The children bath, wash their clothes and clean their rooms, rest rooms and the surroundings.
Games: To make them physically and mentally fit, they play football, volleyball, hopscotch and music, notwithstanding cards.
Food: Children get three meals a day. We keep on informing local and international Fonelisco friends to help us as well.
Discipline: To help shape their behavior and to make the Centre more harmonious. Children make their own rules and the staff concerned make sure that they are followed. New comers – children – are informed about the rules and abide to them happily.
Counselling: This is done five times a week. It helps again to mould their lives and make the Centre harmonious. Above all, it makes them forget their past miserable lives and feel cared for and loved at the centre.
Night Street Work: 2 local staff members went for a walk in the centre of Mwanza on Thursday night 28th of March. They talked to about 15 children sleeping in the streets and bought some food for them.
Spiritual needs: We have Christian, Moslem and ‘pagan’ children. Every Sunday and Friday Christians and Moslems go to worship in churches and mosques respectively. For the Christianity children are taught Bible stories every day before they go to bed.

MEMBERS: The Organization enrolled 3 new members this week. The total number of members enrolled is 43. Out of them 19 are female and 24 are male.
PROBLEMS: There is a lack of reliable sources of funds – donors/financers. Through this the Organization faces the following big problems – just to name a few. Problems with (i) Paying the orphanage rent which was due in April 1st.the rent is one of our biggest worries at the moment. We are in very high pressure. If there is anyone interested to help us pay the orphanage rent or give us ideas on how to solve our current problems please contact us directly via email address foneliscotz@hotmail.com  (ii) buying food for the children (iii) paying for medical care for 10 new children (iv) paying for education for the new children, uniforms and other school facilities (v) buying clothing for the children
CONCLUSION: Fonelisco requests well-wishers to pop in as donors/financers for the betterment of the poor children. Moving Fonelisco to the New Land will be a solution for many of the ongoing problems we always face like rent and food. When we move to the new land we will no longer pay rent and be able to grow our own food and vegetables. Another good news there are schools nearby the New Land where our children can join them. We thank all of you who supported Fonelisco children from all the way 2003 up to now. Without you we would not reach where we are now. God Bless!!! FONELISCO Team
